The Gallery -Trees

Things have been pretty hectic recently. We’ve had a revolving door of illness, the stress of a loved one undergoing surgery and the pending return to work date. With all that going on, there has been little time for blogging, actually little time for anything!

This week I was determined to try to make a contribution to The Gallery. If you are new to it, The Gallery is managed by Tara Cain over at Sticky Fingers1 blog. Clever people would have a link for you to go straight over, but alas I am still technically challenged! Anyway, when I saw that this week her prompt for the pics was trees, I couldnt resist. I love trees! Now it’s still cold in Canada so no signs of spring here and photographer of the year, I definitely am not, but I couldn’t resists this tree. Standing the test of time, the harsh Canadian winter. What’s it’s story? What is it saying to you? Then I came across this poem and thought it appropriate..enjoy.

The world a blur to most

Most see a tree as a tree

The day you actually see

When the world is not the same world

A tree is no longer a tree

A tree is something that bears fruit

A tree is something beautiful

Even in the harshest winds

A tree stands its ground

A tree with leaves of magestic green

No longer just a tree

But a tree that is a work of art

That is the day you see the world

That is the day the world comes into focus

That is the day you truly see the tree
